ihasabucketrp3I’ve noticed in my life that I am a lot better at getting things done if I make a list. I had plenty of time to spend thinking over the weekend, as I had a very upset stomach, and therefore took lots of naps in order to get better.  I decided during this time that it was about time that I make a list of things I need to accomplish before I die.

I know I’m kind of young to be thinking about death, but honestly people, you know me… and you know that some of the crap that’s going to end up on this list is going to be so crazy that it’s going to take me some time to get my act/money/friend base together enough to actually accomplish it.

So, without further ado, here is the list. (Please feel free to give suggestions of things I should add to the list, or ways to accomplish the things already on the list. Much appreciated my lovely friends.

  • Go skydiving. (Cliche, I know, but I really do want to do it.)
  • Fall so madly in love with the girl of my dreams that it’s impossible for us to ever fall out again.
  • Perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at least once.
  • Do a stand up comedy routine. (A successful one.)
  • Earn enough money to become a philanthropist.
  • Travel Europe over the span of at least 3 weeks.
  • Help build an orphanage/school/hospital in a 3rd world country.
  • Make the world smile.
  • Be in a band.
  • Record an album.
  • Learn to play the harmonica.
  • Watch a professional soccer match in a pub in England.
  • Go to a World Cup soccer match.
  • Have a six pack at least once more in my lifetime.
  • Complete a triathlon.
  • Live within 5 minutes of the beach.
  • Kiss in the rain.

  • Teach a college class.
  • Have my own humor column in a newspaper.
  • Coach my kid’s soccer team.
  • Ride in a hot air balloon.
  • Be in a movie (even if it’s the credits).
  • Visit the Grand Canyon.
  • Go skinny dipping.
  • Go see the Colbert Report recorded live in New York.
  • Create a piece of art worthy of hanging in my house.
  • Meet Felicia Day. Maybe hang out with her a little… cause that’s where it starts.
  • Meet Ron Paul
  • Make enough money doing what I love to sustain a family.
  • Speak at BlogWorld or any other similar conference.
  • Set a world record.
  • Live out of the country for at least a year for non-religious purposes.

  • Go a full day without being negative.
  • Kiss a stranger.
  • Make someone laugh so hard, they shoot stuff out their nose.
  • Be a published author… legitimately published, not the school paper.
  • Run for government office (or be a campaign manager).
  • Go to the Summer Olympics… for free.
  • Camp on the beach.
  • Come up with a new phrase of slang that catches on and sticks…
  • Be a writer for a sitcom.
  • Rachel Miller

I think I know how you can accomplish number eight. When I read it, I smiled. So in order to make the world smile, you just need the whole word to read your list. So simple!

    Wendy-

    Yes. Yes you can.

Perfect… I’ve been skydiving twice, amazing, so has Rachel. Lets make this happen…
As for #9, Chelsea and I are starting a band, it’s gonna be called, “You’ve Never Heard of Us?!” and we have many open spots. Pick at instrument and you’re in.
Please, can I do #26 with you. I’ve been a fan since the Daily Show days. He gives the world the truthiness it deserves (for some weird reason my browser is telling me ‘truthiness” is spelled wrong, fools). I saw how you are trying to get a room named after him, it made my month. I don’t mean to “name drop” but I’ve left a message on his home answering machine. Was it returned? No… Better question, how did I get it? Thats a story for another day…

I want to be in your band! I can’t sing but, I can play a mean clarinet!

And as far as your #19 goes, it’s a lot harder than it looks but a lot of fun.
