Not only do Mario and Luigi have amazing mustaches, but at one point in time I’m pretty sure that their names were more famous than that of Jesus with the children of America. I mean, what’s more inspiring than a pair of Italian brothers with matching outfits who work as plumbers by day and occasionally slip down a tube into a magical land where they fight giant lizards, throw fireballs, make friends with mushroom people, and hit on Princesses? Dream big is the key here kids.
Mario and Luigi also have something that is truly distinct to their facial hair. As you can see in the picture I’ve provided for this post, both plumbers have black mustaches. Their hair/sideburns are, on the other hand, a reddish brown. Most men grow darker hair on their head, and have more red in their beard. The phenomenon with Mario and Luigi’s beards cannot be explained. Maybe their mustaches are fake! No, no… let’s not flirt with that idea. It could be the end of the world as we know it. Heaven forbid the worlds most famous cartoon plumbers quit their job of saving the world from fantastical creatures!

Seriously. Why would they want to hide thier identities with a fake mustache? A game about pipes, mushroooms, fire breathing plants… that all sounds up and up.
