The Bucket List

I’ve noticed in my life that I am a lot better at getting things done if I make a list. I had plenty of time to spend thinking over the weekend, as I had a very upset stomach, and therefore took lots of naps in order to get better.  I decided during this time that it was about time that I make a list of things I need to accomplish before I die.

I know I’m kind of young to be thinking about death, but honestly people, you know me… and you know that some of the crap that’s going to end up on this list is going to be so crazy that it’s going to take me some time to get my act/money/friend base together enough to actually accomplish it.

So, without further ado, here is the list. (Please feel free to give suggestions of things I should add to the list, or ways to accomplish the things already on the list.  Much appreciated my lovely friends.

  1. Go skydiving. (Cliche, I know, but I really do want to do it.)
  2. Fall so madly in love with the girl of my dreams that it’s impossible for us to ever fall out again.
  3. Perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at least once.
  4. Do a stand up comedy routine. (A successful one.)
  5. Earn enough money to become a philanthropist.
  6. Travel Europe over the span of at least 3 weeks.
  7. Help build an orphanage/school/hospital in Africa.
  8. Make the world smile.
  9. Be in a band.
  10. Record an album.
  11. Learn to play the harmonica.
  12. Watch a professional soccer match in a pub in England.
  13. Go to a World Cup soccer match.
  14. Have a six pack at least once more in my lifetime.
  15. Complete a triathlon.
  16. Live within 5 minutes of the beach.
  17. Kiss in the rain.
  18. Write a book.
  19. Teach a college class.
  20. Have my own humor column in a newspaper.
  21. Coach my kid’s soccer team.
  22. Ride in a hot air balloon.
  23. Be in a movie (even if it’s the credits).
  24. Visit the Grand Canyon.
  25. Go skinny dipping.
  26. Go see the Colbert Report recorded live in New York.
  27. Create a piece of art worthy of hanging in my house.

#12 sounds awesome. Let me know when you go, so I can come. 2 sounds great, too; however, I don’t want to be there when the relationship is new. I don’t like being around new (or whatever) couples who can’t stop giggling and tickling each other. Also, 17 sounds awesome, but I don’t want to be there for that either.

Finally, are these in order? Does #17 rely upon #2 being completed? Or are you okay with kissing in the rain with almost any girl at all?

P.S. You should put me in #48 or something. I don’t know what. I’ll probably change my mind soon since it’d end up being scary.

Pose shirtless for a Mormon Missionary calendar? Oh wait… that’s not a good idea.

  • Pukite

That all is easy:) Maybe except being philanthropist.

So is there a reason skydiving beat out 2 for the number 1 spot?

Skydiving is a shoe-in for #1 cause #2 is nigh impossible. (happened to me… but that was unique)

what about learn to sail? and then race in teh Americas cup? that would be awesome.

You should put on there participate in The Amazing Race! I’d totally do that with you!!! I’ve been looking for someone who could be my teammate!!! lol

And btw all I could do while reading this list was let out a heavy sigh at #2, #7, #17, and #21. All too cute!
