What’s That Smell?

Do you ever see something that is so disturbingly funny that you just can’t resist sharing it with others? It’s kind of like some terrible car wreck surrounded by carnage and twisted metal. You know you’ll regret watching, yet for some reason, you can’t help but look. I think it’s human nature to be curious.

I also think that jokes about bodily functions can be very amusing. I think that the day you cease to find bodily functions even the least bit amusing is the day that little child inside you dies... and that is a sad day. To prove my point, this weekend I got to spend some quality time with a small human being that has been on this earth less time than it took my fingernails to grow as long as they are. A group of us were gathered around this little baby when a gaseous cloud of burp-age escaped her mouth. We all clapped! Can you believe it? I don't know if my Mom ever clapped for my burps (I'm pretty sure she did) but she sure as heck doesn't clap for them now. When did it cease to be amusing? When did burping become less worthy of praise? Please people, don't let the little children inside you die... also, please don't eat children for the sole purpose of 'getting them inside you.'
